Paragliding is an extreme sport that originated in Europe in the 1970s. Although its history is not very long, it has become increasingly safe and popular worldwide, and Georgia is no exception.
Thanks to its mountainous terrain, Georgia is one of the best places in the world for paragliding. The Caucasus mountain range and the natural climate offer great potential for the development of this sport.
The first paragliding activities in Georgia began in the 1990s, led by both local and foreign enthusiasts. Their efforts have helped grow interest in paragliding year after year.
That’s why, in 2019, a few close friends united by our love for paragliding founded the Xcaucasus club to further develop and promote the sport in Georgia alongside other clubs.
